DU Admission: Apply online, save time & avail 50% discount on registration fee

Want to take admission in one of the most sought after DU colleges? The admission process for all DU colleges has already started and those who want to apply to any DU college can apply online. They need not to visit each and every college to fill their registration forms, now they can fill the form online and even avail the discount of 50%. This is the first time when colleges are offering 50% discount in registration fee and introducing the four-year programmes. The DU is offering 50% discount to general and OBC category and charging no registration fee from SC/ST and PWD students if they apply online. Those who are planning to apply offline required to pay Rs. 100 as registration fee, besides the online application registration fee of Rs. 50. Online payment will be done through debit and credit cards.

SC/ST/PWD candidates may apply via OMR forms by paying Rs. 50 or free of coast online. Dean of students welfare JM Khurana said, “The aim is to promote the environment-friendly paperless process. This will also ensure that aspirants from outside Delhi need not travel just to apply. Even students from Delhi can apply from the comfort of their homes instead of stepping out in this heat. Once the cutoffs are declared, the students can directly approach the colleges where they meet the criteria.” This is the first time when Delhi University has introduced online registration to SC/ST and PWD students. The university will publish a separate cut-off list for all these categories. There are two set of registration form one for general and OBC category and other for SC/ST/PWD category for which students are required to pay Rs. 50. The university is offering 34 different courses and students can select all the courses, but this year they can’t select individual colleges. If a student applies for a particular course he/she is eligible to take admission in any of the DU colleges offering that course if he/she will meet the required eligibility criteria.

This year, there is another change introduced in the OMR form which is section such as family income and mobile number. Khurana said, "All aspirants applying online will be intimated via SMS. We will also try to offer this service to those who applied offline as well. That's why we are asking for mobile numbers."
